Prison life is unpredictable. Life and death decisions are made daily, often about issues the general public would consider irrelevant but are vitally important to the survival of the prisoner. Some "deadly decisions" are actually impossible to avoid or dismiss; they are prison code, etched into the psyche of every prisoner. Defy the code, suffer the consequences.
It takes a master of penitentiary game, combined with "luck" and strategy, to navigatethe choreography of arrest and incarceration, and return to society with peer respect, personal integrity, and all limbs still operational. Prison life cannot be imaged. You must live it to know it!
